My Passion

So here’s my story in as to how did I go about my finding my love for being a speaker on stage and finding my mission for not just motivating them, but transforming their lives in the process. If you feel inspired, I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to be here and I hope we get the opportunity to work together soon.

Back in 2009, after completing my junior college, I wanted to get an admission for BMM ( Bachelors of Mass Media) in a reputed college, but because of low percentage I couldn’t find any college that would accept me. During my free time I learnt handwriting and signature analysis at the age of 16 which was introduced to me by my father, who’s friend, Mr. Anal Pandit was a senior graphologist at the Institute of Graphological Research in Mumbai with over 35 years of experience and he said that learning this will help me improve myself. And so I learnt handwriting and signature analysis over a span of 1 and a half month for 7 Sunday’s and loved it. It helped me improve my personality and gave me an opportunity to guide 1000’s of other people all around the world with their handwriting and signature as well. Soon enough, I got admission in a reputed college in Bandra at R.D.National College of Science and Commerce for BMM.

As soon as people came to know about my new found skill for analysing handwriting and signatures, people flocked to me with their handwriting and signature samples in the same way, fans rush towards celebrities for autographs. I’ll be honest with you. I’d be lying to you if I said that I didn’t enjoy the attention and that it wasn’t very flattering. This flattered me a lot. What flattered me even more, is that everything that I was analysing about people’s handwriting and signatures, was correct. Some of them even went to extent of saying, “This is amazing and whatever you have analysed about me is 100 percent correct.” I started believing in myself more and more and that truly boosted my confidence levels.

From 2009 – 2014 everything seemed like a dream, and I was getting all the love and accolades from every sphere for my work as a handwriting and signature analyst. And I thought this was the best thing that ever happened to me, until I completed my post graduation in advertising in 2014. This was when the toughest phase of my life began. I went through a bunch of careers like being a celebrity manager, celebrity sales executive, event manager, online reputation management executive, acting, dancing, singing, photography to name a few. From 2014 – 2016, I was on the verge of critical depression and constant feeling of loneliness. I could see that how my friends were getting ahead in their corporate careers, making new friends, travelling to different destinations all over the world and sharing awesome highlights of their life on social media. I was confused because I couldn’t stand to work in a corporate job for more than 1 or 3 months. Some people might say that I didn’t give enough time to my career, that’s why I was confused but the main reason was a constant calling within me which said, “Pavan, you are made for bigger things in life, and you must follow your dreams and goals of starting something of your own”. At the time, I couldn’t really think of what I should do.

In June 2016, my sister recommended I should visit her mentor, who’s a professional tarot card reader and possibly she can guide me. Initially I honestly, didn’t think after so many attempts at finding what my career is, anyone could help me, but I was open to new ways and ideas so I took the jump. What amazed me was that my sister’s mentor, Sheetal Sapan Mhatre, could identify within a few moments that my career was meant to be on stage and gave me 2 options. Either I can become a stand up comedian or a corporate trainer and motivational speaker who can guide people with my knowledge and help them change their lives.  I thought to myself, “This is awesome, let’s give stand up comedy a go and see how I fare in this attempt of making people laugh. Meanwhile I also learnt tarot card reading for my own knowledge. So on the 4th of July, 2016 I performed on stage at the Canvas Laugh Club in Mumbai for the very first time. Obviously my jokes didn’t land as I had expected them to , but I enjoyed the experience of being on stage and claimed to the universe, “I’ll become an amazing stand up comic and get paid for making people laugh.” Little did I know, after 4 months of trying to make people laugh at various open mic sessions, I was on the verge of crying and at crossroads of my life, being completely lost and clueless about where my life was headed.

There’s a popular saying, “Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kayinat, tumhe usse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai” (When you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it). On the night of my birthday on the 23rd of October 2016, in a completely filmy style, I took a pledge to change my life for the better, find my career and get on to the path of massive success in the next 1 year. Now I don’t know how, but here’s how things started changing for me.

In the month of January 2017, from 26th – 28th of Jan I was out with my friends in Mahabaleshwar for a Republic day weekend trip. My friends suggested that I must start a YouTube channel and upload my content of handwriting and signature analysis there, that’s how people will know more about my work. I was determined to implement this idea but as soon as I came back to Mumbai on the 28th of Jan, I lost my grandfather. The first few days, after losing him, shocked me to my very core and I just couldn’t think of anything at all. My grandfather always used to say, “Son, I am always proud of you and you must always keep working hard to be successful.” I don’t know how but his words added a boost to my self confidence and on the 5th of February, I bought a tripod, a lapel mic, stuck a couple of motivational posters on my wall, fixed my iPhone and recorded my very first video on “5 rules of taking risks – How To Become A Billionaire”. I know what you’re thinking. If you know how to become a billionaire, why aren’t you one yet? Well, that was the very first comment I received on my YouTube video. But the main idea was, that starting off my YouTube channel and becoming a motivational speaker, became the best decision I had taken in my entire life.

At the same time, in the month of February, I learnt corporate training at Indian Academy of Training and Development with Dr. Rajan and started speaking on stage. Up until that point I used to feel like a deer running in the jungle searching for the musk fragrance which was lying within me. As I continued speaking and conducting training sessions, I learnt the art of being a trainer. I started conducting inspirational interviews with celebrities like Vartika Singh, Natasa Stankovic, Varsha Chande Sejpal to name a few and successful individuals & entrepreneurs who had a story to share and inspire and that’s how my channel, “Inspire Me by Pawan Badlani” was born. My confidence and skills in the field of becoming a motivational speaker and corporate trainer, started growing. I then started writing my first book, in the month of July 2017, “The Win Lose Situation” and published it in the month on 30th of November. Along with writing my book, I always had a dream of being on TV, and that dream got fulfilled as well when I got my very own TV show for handwriting and signature analysis on Airtel DTH on the channel, Astrovaani on the 31st of October 2017.

Over the past 2 years alone I have worked with more than 1,000 people through my seminars and workshops and offered my consultation to over 10,000 people over the past decade of my career as a handwriting and signature analyst. In 2018, I learnt NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) with Dr. David J Lincoln to guide people with their fears and phobias and this helped me even more on how to understand people and help them get over their worst fears and common beliefs which stops them from living their best life and from being successful. I have gone onto create more than 10,000 mini videos, 40 inspirational books, spoken at global platforms, worked with major corporations, film, TV, fashion and sports celebrities

I have been featured on  various TV channels, YouTube channels, newspapers, online publications, radio channels, podcasts and magazines for my work as a motivational speaker, author and a handwriting and signature analyst. With every milestone achieved and every challenge that I have encountered in my life, I would happily say, that going through those challenges made me a better and stronger person today, because without them I couldn’t have realised my true potential to help myself and in turn help people all over the world with my work. And here’s the kicker. “What doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t change you.” So don’t doubt yourself, keep moving forward because even if today was a bad day, tomorrow you will get an opportunity to make everything alright. When you face challenges, simply tell yourself, “It’s only a bad day, it’s not a bad life.”

Here's my first YouTube video to inspire you and to let you know that nobody is perfect.

My Goals

So now you’re wondering, “What’s next on the list of goals or ideas that I have in mind?” Firstly I would like to create an online course on handwriting and signature analysis, motivational speaking and book writing which can be easily accessible for everyone all around the globe. Next up, I would like to build a trust which can provide life coaching, training and guidance to underprivileged people who can’t afford to pay a lot of money and build a community of volunteers who can serve food and clothes to them on a regular basis all over the country.

Next up, I would like to inspire and impart my knowledge of training and speaking to several aspiring trainers and coaches who want to not just create an impact on the lives of their audience but also transform their lives happily and profitably.

I’m working on conducting my seminars and workshops in various cities in India like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Pune, Chandigarh and cities abroad like Dubai and Singapore. I’ll be making the announcement soon, so stay tuned.
